Arvydas Kausas was born in Estonia (former Soviet Union) in 1983. He
received Bachelor and Master Degree at Vilnius University, Lithuania in
2005 and 2009 respectively. At the same time from 2004 to 2009 he was
working in Opto-Mechanical company STANDA Ltd. in Vilnius, Lithuania, in
R&D department, where he was involved in Nd:LSB and Nd:YAG microchip
From 2009 he was involved in “Vulcanus in Japan”, 1 year
intership program held by EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation.
During intership he was involved in research of Yb:YAG laser source at
AIST, Tsukuba by supervision of Dr. Sadao UEMURA. After returning to
Lithuania he was working in EKSLPA, Vilnius, Lithuania on research for
From beginning of 2012 he is engaged in research of high
repetition rate, high energy Nd:YVO4 microchip laser.
